For example, a recommended action might be adding A+ Content to a product’s detail page or setting a B2B discount.

For each product and recommendation, Growth Opportunities displays an estimated potential sales lift. It also displays information about the average number of daily views a product has had in the Amazon store over the last 30 days and the rate at which it’s being purchased after being viewed. Recommendations are updated daily.

To access Growth Opportunities:

  1. Log into your active Amazon seller account
  2. Open the main menu, click “Growth”
  3. Select “Growth Opportunities”

Before accessing this Amazon Revenue Calculator, make sure you have current product listings and sufficient sales history for accurate recommendations.

Pro Tip

Boost sales by experimenting with product detail pages

The Manage Your Experiments tool lets you A/B test listing content, comparing the performance of two product titles, images, or descriptions. You can use the results of an A/B test to estimate the potential sales lift you might enjoy after updating a product detail page. Learn more and run experiments with MYE

Product Opportunity Explorer

If you’re a current Amazon seller, you can use the Product Opportunity Explorer tool to browse product categories and discover niches representing customer demand.

After selecting a product category or subcategory, use search, sales, and pricing information to identify product opportunities. For example, if you see a high search volume for a term associated with a low number of products, there may be an opportunity to fill an unmet customer need.

To access Product Opportunity Explorer:

  1. Log into your active Amazon seller account
  2. Open the main menu, click “Growth”
  3. Select “Product Opportunity Explorer”

Amazon Best Sellers list and rank

To understand a product’s potential, see how it ranks against other products with the Amazon Best Sellers list—a ranking of popular products in Amazon stores. This page updates frequently based on changes in sales. You can use it to:

  • Review top-selling products in different categories
  • See customer reviews and ratings to gauge product viability
  • Consider the competition and saturation for your product ideas

If you’re looking for an Amazon sales rank Revenue Calculator or want to understand the popularity of a specific item, you can also check for the Best seller rank on the product detail page. This metric indicates how well a product is selling compared to other items within the same product category in the Amazon store. In general, the lower a product’s BSR, the more often customers are buying it. For example, if a satin sheet set ranks #4 in the Home & Kitchen category, it’s the fourth best-selling product among active Home & Kitchen listings.

To view a BSR:

  1. Search for the product in the Amazon store and go to its product detail page
  2. Scroll down the page and look for “Product information”
  3. Look for a “Best Sellers Rank” section

BSR is a reflection of sales and rankings fluctuate based on changes in demand. With that in mind, here are some tips for analyzing BSR scores to estimate sales potential:

  • Focus on products with consistently high sales ranks to identify profitable items
  • Monitor the sales rank over time to get a baseline for measurement
  • Compare the sales rank of similar products to assess competition and demand
